Wet rooms are bathrooms that are completely waterproofed and tanked allowing the entire bathroom or shower room area to be used as a stand up or sit down, safe shower and showering area.
Bathroom floors are fitted with shower tray wet room formers with inbuilt gradient falls to either, gravity waste or pumped waste outlets and drains. The wet room trays or formers are then covered with a suitable waterproof membrane, before finally finishing with tiles or vinyl anti-slip flooring.
Glass shower screens, minimal half height doors, disabled shower screens or shower enclosures, are then applied to prevent unwanted splashes into other parts of the wet room and bathroom floor.
Wet room design can be very attractive, as well as safe for the elderly or disabled person, and provides a practical bathing solution for all contemporary shower rooms, and bathrooms.
Wet Room pumped wastes may not be required if there is an adequate fall in the existing drains. In 80% of cases we do not require waste pumps in our wet rooms
